I do not consider myself a content creator because I do not really have strong content creation skills, but when it comes to monetisation of social media platforms, things somehow came swiftly to me.

In 2020, my blog got monetised: https://www.nidupjamtsho.com

Last year, my Facebook page got partially monetised, but due to Meta policy changes, it could not be fully monetised at that time. A few days ago, I was finally notified that I have been accepted into Meta’s Content Monetization Program, as shown in the picture.

I would also like to sincerely thank Dr. Jigme Zangpo, one of my page admins, for helping me with the Facebook page monetisation process. Your support and guidance truly meant a lot.

Over the past few years, I have helped a few creators set up their YouTube monetisation settings. At the same time, I have also heard that some people who successfully monetised their platforms hesitate to help others who are trying to learn. I honestly do not understand that mindset.

For countries like ours, monetisation opportunities are still limited because our online community is smaller and less visible in the global digital economy. That is why I feel Bhutanese content creators, influencers, vloggers, bloggers, and digital storytellers should come together to make Bhutan’s digital creator ecosystem more vibrant, impactful, and visible in the online advertising and creator economy.

Cheers to DoMCIIP for initiating support and funding opportunities for content creators. I truly hope more Bhutanese creators will produce meaningful content, grow sustainably, and eventually earn a living through digital platforms.
